Based on its commitment to promoting social responsibility, Seef Properties has announced a donation to the Bahrain National Hereditary Anaemia Society to support its initiatives and programs, sponsoring events for hereditary blood disease patients and their families. The support was handed over by Chairman of the Board of Directors Mr. Essa Mohamed Najibi to Society President Dr. Shaikha Al-Arrayed at the company’s headquarters in Seef Mall – Seef District. This took place in the presence of Dr. Mustafa Al Sayed, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Social Responsibility Committee, and Mr. Ahmed Yusuf, CEO of Seef Properties.
This financial grant stems from the company’s strategy to adopt social responsibility within efforts to consolidate cooperation with various civil societies operating in the Kingdom; in particular those specialising in providing healthcare for patients with chronic and hereditary diseases and supporting their families, in a manner reinforcing the principles of solidarity and charitable practices.
The Bahrain National Hereditary Anaemia Society was established in 1991 with the aim of raising awareness about hereditary diseases, collecting all available information about hereditary blood diseases in Bahrain and the Gulf region, and providing public health consultation. The society additionally provides moral support to the families of those afflicted in order to reduce the impact of the disease, strives to include basic information about hereditary diseases in school textbooks, and conducts survey studies on hereditary blood diseases.
On this occasion, Mr. Essa Mohamed Najibi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Seef Properties, commented, “We are pleased to support one of the most active civil societies in the Kingdom owing to its noble goals and vision to raise awareness and enhance cooperation with various international bodies in combating anaemia and other hereditary diseases in Bahrain. In turn, we are committed to supporting all national efforts that serve the local community in various health, educational and development sectors.”
For her part, Society President Dr. Shaikha Al-Arrayed expressed her gratitude and appreciation of Seef Properties’ efforts to fulfil its social responsibility by supporting health programs aimed at preventing genetic diseases. Seef Properties has supported the society for many years, she pointed out, stressing that this donation will significantly contribute to the effective conduction of its activities for the intended beneficiaries.
It is noteworthy that Seef Properties’ social responsibility is built on four strategic values to create a better future and improve the well-being level of all members of society: support, culture, sustainability and awareness. This is represented in its sponsorship of various charitable, humanitarian works as well as social initiatives of individuals and institutions.
